- I have a special focus on ADHD and/or Autism presentations in women and AFAB individuals who have been historically overlooked due to oppressive systems and limited access to resources
- I offer both in-person in Vancouver WA and telehealth options for your convenience
- I approach the evaluation process with a comprehensive perspective, recognizing that neurodiverse individuals often face overlapping challenges, including trauma, anxiety, and mood problems. I believe that self-discovery can be a deeply personal and transformative journey, but it can also be emotionally impactful. Therefore, I strive to provide clear and gentle feedback sessions to help you understand your results
Psychotherapy for Adults
I offer psychotherapy for Anxiety and Trauma, including Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Chronic Worrying, Mild-Moderate OCD, and Perfectionism. - I support those going through significant life transitions due to illness, relocation, job change, childbirth, retirement, divorce
- I also support those suffering from narcissistic abuse and family-of-origin trauma
- I am a warm, no-nonsense therapist who will use humor and curiousity to understand your issues. I hope to be transparent so that you understand what we are doing together and why
- I use CBT, CPT, PE and Exposure-based therapies as my foundational approaches, and I'm collaborative with a solution-focused bent, as I expect my clients to get better quickly. With years of experience in the mental health field, I integrate other types of interventions including ACT, Narrative, Feminist, Interpersonal, Existential and Humanistic perspectives to enrich the therapy experience for my clients

About The Practice
- I have been in the mental health field for over 25+ years, and a licensed psychologist for 16. Originally from Arizona, I moved to the beautiful Pacific Northwest after years of planning my escape from the desert heat.
- I’m a 3rd gen Latina with roots in the Sonoran desert and I especially welcome persons of color to work with me–this is an anti-racist space.
- Prior to creating Carefree NW, I had a general practice in Phoenix, AZ where I saw tweens, teens, adults and families. That practice also had “Carefree” in the name after the beautiful highway I drove daily from my previous home in Cave Creek, AZ.
- I’ve worked in numerous medical settings and hospitals over the years, in corrections, and as a consultant, researcher, and assistant professor of psychology. I am very grateful to work with many wonderful clients.
